What goes wrong

The 2.4 Tigershark burns oil fast enough to run itself dry between changes, documented in federal complaints and a class-action settlement. Engines stall and die with little warning when the level drops. The V6 Cherokee doesn’t have it. (“Cherokee” here means the small SUV, not Grand Cherokee.)
